Why I'm starting a blog
LinkedIn and X are great for moments. I want a place for the longer thoughts that don't fit a timeline.
I have been writing in public for a while — LinkedIn posts, X threads, YouTube scripts. Those formats are good at one thing: they move fast.
They are bad at another thing. The useful parts disappear. A post that took a week of thinking lives for forty-eight hours, then the algorithm buries it.
This blog is the slower version of that.
What I want this to be
Not a newsletter. Not a personal brand machine. Just a public notebook.
I will write about shipping products, being a student and a founder at the same time, and the unglamorous parts of building from Ethiopia. Some posts will be practical. Some will just be me figuring something out in writing.
If a thought is still useful six months later, it belongs here.
What it will not be
I am not going to publish every week on a calendar. I already make enough content. The bar is simple: if I would want to reread it later, I hit publish.
No growth hacks. No "10 tools I used this week." If you want that, the internet already has it.
Why now
I am sixteen. I am building Shiplog and YScroll, making videos, and still going to school. The year is loud.
Writing is how I slow it down. If you are building something too, I hope a few of these notes save you a month I already spent.
Start here, or go back to all writing.
